Sweet pepper "Zorza"
Sweet Pepper "Zorza".
Thick-walled and juicy!
An early-ripening variety (95-100 days), perfect for short summers.
Characteristics:
* Fruits: Light yellow, fleshy, with a pleasant pepper aroma.
* Use: Indispensable for fresh salads, canning, and freezing.
* Cultivation: Recommended for open ground and plastic tunnels.
AGRONOMIST'S GUIDE: Seed Prep & Biology.
1. Biological Fact.
Peppers are technically perennials. If you transplant a bush into a bucket in autumn and bring it indoors, it will continue to fruit. However, in northern climates, it is grown as an annual via seedlings.
2. Germination Check.
Pepper seeds lose viability quickly; do not buy them "for future use." Always check old seeds: if 5 out of 10 sprout, the batch is good to sow.
3. Pre-sowing Treatment Schemes (for untreated seeds):
Note: Commercial seeds are often pre-treated (check the packet). If not, use one of these methods:
* Scheme #1: Disinfect 20 min in Potassium Permanganate (rinse well!) -> Soak 18 hours in "Zircon" (1 drop per 300 ml water).
* Scheme #2: Disinfect 20 min in Potassium Permanganate (rinse well!) -> Soak 18 hours in "Epin" (2 drops per 100 ml water).
* Natural Method: Soak in ash solution (2 tbsp per 1 L hot water, cooled) or manure slurry (1:10).
After soaking, keep seeds in a damp cloth at +25°C until they sprout. Warning: Do not place on a radiator — they will dry out!

Saving Frost-Damaged Plants.
Quickly revive plants hit by frost using onion skins:
1. Boil a bucket of water with 3 full handfuls of onion husks.
2. Cool and strain.
3. Spray the affected plants.
They should recover fully in 2-3 days (proven in practice).
